Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God and New Year’s Eve Mass
“The Lord bless you and keep you, May the Lord let His face shine on you and be gracious to you” – Numbers 6: 25.
The Faithful met the New Year by offering prayers and thanking the Lord for all the inexplicable benefits that indeed strengthened faith through the Adoration of Blessed Sacrament led by Rev Fr Maxim Rosario, Estate Manager of the Diocese of Mangalore.
Subsequently Holy Mass for the Solemnity of Mary, the Most Holy Mother of God, was celebrated by Rev Fr Maxim Rosario and concelebrated by Rev Fr Anil D Mello, Parish Priest and Rev Fr Timothy Saldanha, Guest Priest. In his discourse Fr Maxim helped the believers to comprehend the courage of a unique woman Mary and in the Light of the Word of God delineated that Mary is sanctified with grace and in this way brings us God’s Blessings and thus inviting each individual to be a blessing for others through kind words, kind deeds and to speak well of others. Motherhood is a blessing, ways to make the new Year meaningful were then superbly annotated.
