A BREIF HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL

India is a rapidly progressing in the field of science and technology. Every parent wants his child be given the best education. According to expert educationalist Ken Robinson, “Human resources are like natural resources; they’re often buried deep. You have to go looking for them; they’re not just lying around on the surface. You have to create the circumstances where they show themselves”. To achieve this goal we need to improve the quality schools in our locality.

Before 2004 many children of Udyavara used to go to Udupi or other far off places for availing English Medium Education as there was no English medium school in Udyavara. When the people of Udyavara were looking for an English Medium School, the Parish Pastoral Council under the Chairmanship of Rev.Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho perceived the need and resolved  unanimously to have an English Medium School in Udyavara. The Proposal was sent to the Bishop of Mangalore who was also the President of the Catholic Board of Education.

The Commission appointed by the Bishop of Mangalore visited Udyavara and submitted the report to the Bishop in 2003. On the basis of the report, His Lordship, Most Rev. Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangalore granted permission for St Francis Xavier English Medium School to start L.K.G, U.K.G and First standard simultaneously from 2004 -2005.

In these 17 years the school has achieved much but it is not going to take credit and rest, instead it will reset its journey with determination and step forward to achieve much more.
